Classical Psychology is understood as the study of the psyche, a process that is one of the most elusive systems within the human being. In some systems of psychology we look at the brain to help us understand the psychological functions, while in other systems we turn towards consciousness for answers. Every system finds its own conclusion about the functions of the mind, and they typically reduce the human consciousness to a single idea such as brain chemistry of social networks.

But Yoga Psychology is distinct in that it looks at each unique part of the human system and gradually dissects each piece to observe its unique relationship to the whole structure including the body, mind, soul, etc. Yet this is not the full depth of Yoga Psychology for it does not simply isolate the individual being but looks into the link between the universal system with the individual system. From this larger perspective we try to find the answers to who we really are. This may seem ambiguous, but yoga makes the transition from the microcosm (single entity) to the macrocosm (the universal) with the scientific logic of both deduction (reasoning from out to in) and induction (reasoning from in to out) to find its position amongst accurate scientific discoveries. It is this trait that makes Yoga Science so distinguished in the field of Psychology.

In addition, Yoga Psychology also measures the various levels of the human form starting from the physical level through the energetic level and eventually continuing onto the universal level. This not only gives Yoga Psychology more depth of field for development self-exploration, but it also allows us to be successful in our work to help our friends, family and community. By accounting for the numerous pieces that make up a human being, we can measure all the variables which will ultimately give us the ability to make dramatic psychological and physiological changes within ourselves and others too.

At Tureya Institute we are training residence and students in the advanced sciences of Yoga Psychology. Our mission is to give people the right tools to affectively change their lives and, when they are ready, offer their newfound knowledge to support their friends and families back home.
